We visited Temple Square and looked at the Christmas lights. It was busier than Disneyland any day of the week, but it was beautiful and peaceful. It was abalmy evening.

We found your blog and are sad we didn't see you when you were in Utah. Can not believe how your family is growing. Loved all your holiday pics. Zach and Liz (visit our blog--zandlfamily.blogspot.com)
We went to the cabin for Labor Day and had a wonderful time visiting, playing games, hiking, and looking at the lush grass and wildflowers. For lunch we drove to Big Lake for a picnic and also to see the Wallow Fire destruction. Once again we sere pleased to see that the devastation wasn't widespread. The grass has all grown back and with the Forest Service seeding and putting down straw, you can see from the pictures how beautiful the grass is. Some areas were disheartening though. The picture taken at our picnic lunch was right next to the Ranch's old corrals. Happy memories in a beautiful place.
When Rachel and I were in Utah we bought this upholstery material at Hobby Lobby with the intention of covering all of our couch pillows. Later during the trip we were shopping with Mary and she found new pillows at DI that were this color-scheme. I was jealous of her purchase and thought to myself, "What was I thinking.....actually getting out my sewing machine." Well Rachel and I dug out the machine and actually finished. Now we are planning on painting our red wall this bluish/green color.
